Description

Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris, bb April 2014
Black color, with small head. Basic aroma of roasted malt, burnt coffee, and traces of bread. The mouthfeel is dry, the body weak; it has a straight forward flavor of roasted malts, with traces of milk and liquorice; correct bitterness.
As entry-level Stout, it has been correctly brewed; no thrills though.

A bit rough, but interesting.

Muddy blond color with creamy head. Some aroma of Sorachi Ace, therefore lemon and soap, lemon pie, some yeast. Dry and weak mouthfeel, some light malt flavor, strong bitterness, strong lemony hop, and yeast.
It has a bit too much yeast, but it’s a good idea initially.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy golden with a rich and frothy white head leaving quite some lacework. Fruity aroma - but no distinctly fresh hoppiness. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, fruit and yeast with a bitter finish. But totally lacks a the crisp and fresh hoppiness of good IPAs. A bit of a letdown after so many great Mont Salève beers. 160912
