Description
We are very proud of our Channel Islands heritage. The Liberation Brewery has been supplying the Channel Islands with its award-winning beers for nearly 150 years. Pat and Peter take great pride in crafting our unique and distinctive seasonal range as well, using the finest local ingredients.

We also have 20 pubs and bars across the Channel Islands, where you will always receive a warm welcome. We’re very proud of our eclectic and unique pubs & bars; each one with its own distinctive feel and menu focused on what works best for the local area. Our team of Chefs from all over the islands collaborate to design, create and develop our award-winning food offering. Utilising the finest ingredients including our own Liberation brewed beers, locally sourced meat, fresh produce and delicious Channel Islands seafood. With our over-arching food brief to create a good value, innovative and exciting menu of dishes.

From cask. Pours deep brown with a golden orange glare and a small off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted and toffee caramelish. Breadish malty, roasted and vague fruity. Ends dry and bitter.

Cask@The Albion House, St Peter Port, Guernsey
New beer from The Jersey Brewery. I found this beer from the pub in Guernsey, not seen any place in Jersey :) Golden-straw color, steady creamy white head. Honey-flowery hoppy nose. Decent body for 3.8% beer. Flowery, a bit sweet hoppyness in the flavor. Finish has some pine needle notes. Decent Golden ale.

On gravity at the Tuckers Maltings Beer festival, Newton Abbot 23/04/10. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. Bready malt aroma with a touch of sweetness. Flavour had some hedgerow fruit and a touch of caramel, before a pronounced bitter finish. Ok.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted, toffee notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Cask at GBBF 2009. I’d been warned off these beers, but I didn’t think that they were that bad, certainly not as bad as the White Gypsy beers from Ireland. Gold, thin lasting beige head. It’s a bitter, it’s alright. Some yeasty character, some apple and then some tingling hop. Fine, if a bit too yeasty.
