Crowler shared by Miles. Awesome aroma of maple smothered pancakes on an inky black body with a rusty tan head. The taste is fantastic maple, thick pancakes, molasses, sweet but not cloying. Wonderfully balanced and drinking like liquid pleasure, superb.

32 oz crowler filled at Great Notion, labeled plural as Space Invaders. Continuing the celebration of Frankie’s coming to an end, with great beer each night. This definitely qualifies as great beer. It’s practically juice. Milky peach orange color pour with a rocky foam head. Fresh peaches and tangerine aroma that explodes from the can. A matching flavor with a subtle hop bitterness to follow. What a fantastic beer this is. Love the peach impression. Love the hop profile. Love the beer.

From a one litre can shared by Bart at the Struise shop in Bruges, cheers! Very thin, egg-white head, moussy but unstable, in the end vanishing into almost nothing, cloudy yellow blonde robe with somewhat ’milky’ appearance, yeasty, a bit witbier-like in appearance. Lots of sweet fruitiness in the nose, granadilla, overripe mango, lychee, rambutan, pineapple, passion fruit lemonade, freshly squeezed orange juice, limoncello, pink pepper. Vividly fruity onset, candied lemon, tangerine and passion fruit sweetness with sourish edge, in all quite crisp with softish carbo, supple and ’fluffy’ mouthfeel, lightly bready malt sweetness gliding smoothly backwards, leading to a very aromatic New World hops finish, lots of passion fruit lemonade-like effects and sweet citrus fruit, yeasty too, softly bittering. Delicate aromatic and sweet tropical fruitiness is one popular direction in contemporary IPAs and this is a typical example; too bad for the lack of head and overly yeasty appearance, but beautiful in terms of pure flavour.

32 oz crowler purchased at Great Notion. Celebrating the Bengals 5th touchdown of the year a week late because celebrating last week was tough. Golden hazy color pour with a lasting head. Orange fruit, citrus, fruit juice aroma. Flavor is orange, bitter citrus hops, and an oat that shines through nicely. Fun beer overall. A little strange, a little different, but all is well here.

32 oz crowler, filled at the brewery. Huge thanks to luttonm for handling the courier services on this one. I owe you! I was waiting to share this with somebody, but like many IPA’s, I felt the clock was ticking in the crowler. Besides, after the first sip of this, I knew 32 oz would last me about an inning of the baseball game, especially if the M’s can’t seem to record an out. The better the beer, the worse the game goes. It’s a tough battle for me. Pours a shiny golden color with a lasting archipelago foam head. I’m surprised this is a solitary Mosaic hopped beer. A much juicier, tropical fruit profile than I have picked up from other single hops of the same. I expected the juicy side of this based on the name, but that was before I knew anything really about it. First impression is an orange slices, super fruit constant. Orange juice like late mouthfeel. Makes me feel like this beer would go great for breakfast. I always preferred a juicy session IPA over a coffee beer when it comes time to drinking beer before the tap places open up. What a perfect fit to the category this one is. Second pint of this crowler was even better than the first. So much delicious fruity hop flavor that keeps you downing this beer. In no way does this taste like it is a session. It has a full IPA flavor and a good amount of bitterness throughout. So many things are right with this beer. It’s a shame I haven’t been to Great Notion to try one of these fantastic beers on site. That being said, with this one beer, you have made a fan. Excellent stuff.

Crowler at the stone fruit tasting, side-by-side with the canned version from Block 15. A muddy orange pour with a bit of beige head, immediately ignored when the huge peach and tropical aroma comes forth. Zesty hop bitters and big fruitiness. Like a big fruit beer was jammed full of citrus hoppiness.

On tap at Great Notion, pours black with a small white head. Aroma is very sweet, with lots of sweet chocolate and vanilla upfront, with subdued spiciness. Flavour is spicy and sweet, with cocoa, vanilla, and intense spiciness. The spiciness kicks in a lot towards the end. I like it, but it's rather abrasive.

On tap at Great Notion, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is strange as hell, with rock candied sweetness, citrus hops, salt and strange spiciness. Flavour is messed up, with lots of rock candy sweetness, weird spiciness and citrus hops. The candy really messes this up. Not sure why they did this. A total gimmick beer that doesn't work on any level.
