Bottle from the brewery
Black color, frothy head. Very nice aroma, campfire, smoke, ashes, dark chocolate. Lean body, dark chocolate and some ashes, with a malt fruity touch in the background, moderate smoke, and more smoke in the final.
Good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy bronze with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, citrus rind, tropical fruit pith and biscuity malt. Flavour is very dry, with earthy, piney hops, some pith, and dry biscuity malt. Much drier and less juicy than most NE-style IPAs. Solid stuff.

Hazy, tan. Thin head. Nice fruity hop, touch of sweet pale malt. Yoghurty sour, floral hop. Not bad.

Hazy, thin head. Light tan colour. Has a papaya. Overripe mango sort of thing going on. Bitter, with a little finishing sweetness. The hops are cleaner and brighter on the palate.

650ml bottle at Brian's office. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is very smoky, roasted malt, mazut notes. Similar taste with huge totally burnt malt aftertaste. Burnt malt bomb.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy dull orangey yellow with a small white head. Aroma own loaded with lots of lacto, citrus and light floral dry hopping. Flavour is loaded with yogurty notes, with subtle floral dry hopping and citrus tartness. So much lacto here. Unsophisticated.

2017-09-20, can, tasting at SF, Vancouver, 7-3-7-4-14=35
Hazy blond color, small head. I can get why I thought of manure in the aroma, but now it's much better from a can, with citrusy hops.
Crisp, very good.

It smells a bit, manure. But it has a special dry body and clean hopping. Good APA.

Can - Peachy, dank and citrus peel. Clearish gold with a small white head. Bitter peel and complexity in the nose is lost. Decent but not great.
