Established in 1984
We opened our first brewery in 1984 in what is now the Pearl District. In 1990 we built a new 40-barrel brewing system in our current Russell Street location.
In 1996, we completed installation of a state-of-the art 250-barrel brew house, bringing our capacity to 220,000 barrels per year. In 1996, for the first time in our brewery's history we installed a bottling line, capable of producing 500 bottles per minute. In 2008 we added six new 1500-barrel fermentation tanks that increased our capacity to 450,000 barrels per year, and added a new keg filling line capable of filling 300 kegs per hour.

An unclear orange beer with a thin rim of white head. The aroma is sweet and quite light with a combination of notes of wheat, caramel, and oranges. The flavor is wheaty with light notes of citrus, while the body is thin.

Bottle ppours a clear orange light amber, with a small decent sized but quickly receding off white head. Thin sheeting lacing. Aroma is IPA allright, sweet bright and citrusy. Grapefruit, and orange rind. Flavor is not as fruity but a nice up front citrus rind bitterness, closely followe dby the medium malts that round out the flavor profile. The lingering bitterness comes through later and hangs around. A bit soft on the carbonation but it all goes well together. A bit more than I expected from a macro/micro like Widmer.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy medium redish brown with a small thin film of a head and spotty lacing. Aroma is nice duo of piney hops and medium dark sweet malts, rather subtle on both fronts. Flavor is more malty and rather wsweet. A bit of brown sugar and dark honey. Slight hop bitterness, not what I would cal balanced but nice for what it is. BOdy is rather heavy due to what tastes like a lot of residual sugars. Nice soft malty flavor and a bit light on the fiz. I was shocked to look this up and find it to be an IPA. I would need another 50 IBUs to consider it a better example of the style. At 7% ABV, yes, I would call that "Stealthy"

On tap @ Clinton St Brewery. Hazy light bronze. Woody, leafy, lightly citrusy hop aroma. Dry, earthy bitterness. Even some anglo hop notes (I swear!). Fairly standard IPA, refreshing, fruity, citrusy, good pale malt balance.
