Description
Widmer Brothers Brewing is located in brew-friendly Portland, OR. Our publicly-held brewery employs over 150 people who are as passionate about quality craft beer as Kurt & Rob themselves.

We opened our first brewery in 1984 in what is now the Pearl District. In 1990 we built a new 40-barrel brewing system in our current Russell Street location.

In 1996, we completed installation of a state-of-the art 250-barrel brew house, bringing our capacity to 220,000 barrels per year. In 1996, for the first time in our brewery's history we installed a bottling line, capable of producing 500 bottles per minute. In 2008 we added six new 1500-barrel fermentation tanks that increased our capacity to 450,000 barrels per year, and added a new keg filling line capable of filling 300 kegs per hour.

Brown with decent off white head. Acidic nose. Vinegary flavor. I obviously had a bad one.

Ok in its own right, more for the uneducated wanting to try a "micro"

Unfiltered doesn''t exactly cover it. Can''t see through it. Lightly malty wheat nose. Flavor is light malt with light hop bite.

Got this at an Albertson''s grocery store in Huntington Beach. My dad informed me you could buy any beer as a single in CA. How cool is that? Anyway, I did not have the luxury of a lemon in the hotel, so this went in the water glass. Murky dark yellow color with thin white head and lacing. Aroma is a pretty rudimentary citrus. The flavor is a mixture of citrus, malt and clove but that mixture did not really move any mountains. Finish is sweet. Not really that enjoyable.

Hazy orange colour, nice wheaty smell. No wheaty characteristics in the taste. More of an ale in my opinion, but not a bad beer!

Not a bad interpretation of the style, but this is a style I don''t care for.
