250ml freshly served from tap at Beer Happy in Benidorm. Next to clear, warm golden body, lacing rings on the glass, filmy layer. Inviting smell of tropical fruits. Fresh hop fruity taste of mandarin, mango, and orange drops. Mid-dry fruity ending. Medium bodied. Nice. (Benidorm 03.04.2019).

Bottle bought from the brewery at LIB festival in Leiden. Pours black with a fine sheen of head, actually very deep red. Aroma is malty and roasty, with hints of coffee; even very hoppy actually, fitting the BIPA at 14%. Pine and herbal hops aromas. Lot of complexity. Big body with a thick oily mouthfeel. Flavour is malty and quite sweet, caramel and molasses. Lot of almond flavours from the amaretto. Lot of wood, rye gives spiciness to it. A very interesting black IPA, I think it's still in style, just amplified to a crazy level. Intense amaretto and wood notes. Lovely.

On tap at LIB'19. Ooof, this was all over the place. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of strawberries, roast, dark chocolate, raisins, figs, booze. Flavour follows, weird but interesting mix of fruity and roasty flavours, bitter finish. Full bodied, boozy.

31.01.2019, tap @ Caf Sara:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, bark, minerals, sap, sour grass, fruit stones, soil, alcohol, shed, paper, almond essence, hay, ripe banana, caramel malts. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish mineraly, weeds, sap, sour grass, booze, fruit stones, yeast, soil, bark, almond essence, caramel malts, shed, paper, dark sugar. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.
