3/4/2026. Bottle at the Good Friday ITFC beer share. From Waitrose, Ipswich. Good pour. Tons of sweet toffee and malts. Grainy, lightly boozy. Medium to heavy sweetness, fruity bitters, slight tart edge. Smooth. GKIPA on steroids.

Not bad but nothing to write home about. Not really an IPA, at 4.0% it would have gone off long before reaching India by sea. Bottle at home.

Clear 500ml bottle from Morrison's (Tiverton). Poured into an old Abbot Ales glass tankard at home on 11th March 2026. Nice, clean and clear amber body, white crust on top. Toffee/caramel nose and initial taste, calms down with a pleasing hop bitterness. Keeps it's malty sweetness, even when the hops kick in.

Cardiff Mini-break Beer#26. A bit of a re-rate as I've found this before at the John Gilbert pub in Worsley. Clear copper-amber, a hop-malt bitter on the weaker side of things, and bitter-sweet. This beer was named after the pub in the Court House in Caerphilly where I found it again.

Pint, cask ale at The Old Swan. Hazy golden body, patches on the surface, fair lacing. Moderate citric aromas with a floral scent. Hop fruity taste, hints of peaches, orange and passion fruit. A welcome bitter bite to the finish. Medium bodied. Fair enough. (London, 01.03.2026).
