500ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Dark brown, a little bit translucent with a small uneven film of beige head. Light aroma, some chocolate malt, hint of blackberry. There’s a creamy sweetness to the taste but it’s almost immediately challenged by a wall of intense hop bitterness. Bitterness stays on the tongue after the finish, with notes of underripe berries in the aftertaste. Low to medium carbonation. Enjoyable.

500ml bottle purchased as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Very dark brown, only slightly translucent with a full beige head. Nice. Sweet chocolate on the nose, a touch of liquorice, suggestion of stone fruit. Tastes quite bitter, scratched malt, strong coffee grounds, medicinal character. Sits with intense bitterness in the finish. Full body with medium carbonation. Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I adored it.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Mid- to dark brown, translucent with a small uneven beige head. The nose gives chocolate malt, slate, the tiniest note of stone fruit. Excellent balanced taste, creamy and bittersweet with a tinge of sourness of the finish. I’m getting chocolate and blackberry. Medium body, low carbonation. Simple and moreish.

500ml bottle purchased as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Dark gold, clear with almost no head. Malty resinous aroma, a little bit of caramel, some orange peel, floral notes. Pretty nice. The taste is sweet, very malt-heavy, with bitterness in the finish. Some toffee in the finish. Body’s slick, not too heavy and flat, flat, flat. It’s got something, the maltiness is pretty sumptuous.

500ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from the brewery. Mid-brown and fairly translucent with a full khaki head and plenty of lacing. Big malty aroma, some sweet cooking spices, Ovaltine-y chocolate. Taste is sweet, and again very malty, leading to an astringent bitter finish. Notes of cola and ciffee syrup. Medium body with carbonation on the heavy side. Pretty simple stuff but quite good.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Murky dark brassy gold with almost no head. Malty aroma, a little bit of overripe citrus. Sweet taste, very very very malt-led, with notes of tangerine and papaya. Light bitterness in the finish. Body’s watery for the ABV with almost no carbonation. Tastes like good homebrew which needs a bit of tinkering.

500ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Very dark gold, not quite clear with a small and quickly dissipating off-white head. Low aroma, a little bit of caramel, pine and tangerine. Heavy malt presence in the taste, bittersweet then too bitter, a little metallic. Some pink grapefruit in the finish. There’s a lot here but it’s not quite pulling in one direction. Medium body, low to medium carbonation. Not bad but needs more subtlety.

Jammy aroma with orange peel and apricot sitting atop a lovely biscuity malt base. Bittersweet taste, again a nice malt base, more citrus and stone fruit, maybe a touch of clove. Quince and orange in the aftertaste. Light to medium body, carbonation on the heavy side. Brilliant beer.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Light to medium gold and fairly hazy with a big white head. Scent of white grapefruit ring and lemon zest, with the very slightest sulphurous tang. Taste is bittersweet, nicely balanced, lots of bittering hops present in the finishing flourish. Fairly traditional with a little more character than many beers of this style.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Light yellow gold, almost Chardonnay-ish, clear with almost no head. Very low aroma, just a suggestion of malt and some citrus sourness. Watery taste, basic malty notes, a bit of tropical fruit. Bitterness in the finish.light body, zero carbonation. Not great, although I am impressed with how they made a 2.5% beer taste like a 0.5% beer.
