(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 27 Nov 2014) Hazy golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grass, citrus, white bread and fruit salad. Malty, fruity taste with bread, citrus, grass, tropical fruit and a fresh grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Refreshing, with a good hop character. Nice one.

Cask at the Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2015. Yellow and hazy. Low carbonation. Massive grapefruit and lemon peel aroma. Bittersweet fruity hit. Mostly bitter, with sugary sweet edges. Bittersweet finish. Gets better and better over the course of the drink. Recommended.

Gravity cask at Cambridge Winter Ales Festival, 2015. Liquorice, cherry, chocolate aroma. Taste is lovely. A bitter hoppy porter shot through with star anise. Spice, sweetness and bitterness blend in a lovely smooth finish. Grassy hop in the bitter aftertaste. Remarkable.

Gravity cask at Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2015. Black and opaque with a hint of purple. Liquorice, berries and charcoal in the aroma. Chalky bitter and slightly burnt coffee taste. Full but somewhat gritty palette. Not bad.

Gravity cask at Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2015. Dark gold to light brown. Cloudy. Very lively head for a gravity cask! Light aroma of orchard fruit, malt, a bit of jasmine and candy sugar. Malt-led taste, bittersweet with coriander and watercress notes. Exceptionally bitter aftertaste, especially in light of the gentleness of the initial taste. Full palette with exceptional carbonation. Reasonable but not particularly memorable.

Gravity cask at the Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2015. Orange-gold, cloudy and fairly flat. Aroma of yeast, spice, with a bit of herb and pepper. Mostly sweet taste with a bitter finish. Massive spicy/bready hits. Aftertaste is a bit too bitter for my liking. Other than that it is an impressive beer for this ABV.
