16 ounce can from Wegmans in Princeton. Amber gold pour. Pillowy beige head. Bready malt aroma has toffeeish notes. Flavor hints at rustic bread and toffee. Some herbal hop notes on the backend. Dry hoppy finish. I miss Anchor Steam and this is a faithful representation of that classic brew.

On tap at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Nose is chocolate peanut butter spread, digestive biscuit, creamy coffee, caramel. Taste is much the same, spot of cocoa in the background. Nutty malty aftertaste.

Aromas are a not quite balance blend of sweet malt, citrus hops, a little old resin. Flavors are similar to nose, orange comes forward and some lumbar. A little too sweet for me.

CBJ bottle share, thanks to Cloin for the can. A light haze on this paleish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, a light creamy sweetness. Soft cooling pine. Mild hop spice. Light slightly ripe citrus. Mild bitterness and hop spice on the light and semi dry finish. Tidy.

16 ounce can from Hopewell Super Buy-Rite (via Nick). Lime jello green color resembles a science project gone wrong. Puffy light green head. Honeydew melon and coconut aroma. Zesty, sweet melon flavor hints at coconut and vanilla. It’s sweet and after that, I don’t have words to describe it. Put some vanilla soft-serve ice cream in it and call it a day…
