Description
Our brewery is made up of over 300 team members, that proudly give their best to serve you, our valued consumers, with the best beer they possibly can.

Just like the vast diversity in cultures, languages, and regions that represent Ethiopia, Habesha Breweries reflects all Ethiopians. Our people illustrate the beauty and rich diversity that one can find in Ethiopia.

Our team is working closely together with local farmers. We assist them in professionalizing their business, helping them to grow better quality barley. Their better quality seeds yield up to 30% higher profits, whilst our brewery guarantees strong demand for their produce.

Our beer is brewed from Ethiopia’s best water, directly sourced from the highland grounds of Debre Birhan, there where our proud and passionate people transform prime quality yeast, barley malt and hops into our beloved beer.

Note: Although the above description is interesting, many of their beers are brewed in Holland.

Bottle at the flat in Sofia - picked up from 1001 Beers. Pours totally clear golden yellow with a lasting, frothy white head. Fairly sweet with a lot of white bread, cereal grains, husky bitterness, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more grain husk, dirty hay, white bread, straw, a nip of raw alcohol. Not bad as far as land-locked African pale lagers go. Plus the label is stone-cold classic.

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Bottle. A- Light banana, honey, corn. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Light banana, honey, slightly sweet, corn, faint malt. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Honestly, I like this quite a bit, probably more than I should. Drinks super easy and smooth and balanced. If I had to drink a pale lager I'd pick this over any American macro any day.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is super sweet grain malt. Flavor is more sweet malt with a honey finish. Not all that great but it is a new country so worthy of a try.

Barley/corn malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with large off-white head and mild effervescence. Mildly sweet corn/barley malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. A decent pale lager.
