Always experimenting and expanding

We brew in small batches in our 15 barrel brewery and we’re always experimenting with new recipes. Dan and Pat ,with previous experience from the wine world, get to marry the fascination with the natural world and the art and science of fermentation.

Dan keeps cooking up some good recipes and Patrick the builder keeps finding ways to add more tanks and increase our production.

Pours an only slightly-hazy, golden yellow, with smallish, but lasting head. Aroma is pretty dank, with some citrus and a lot of pine. Flavor is fairly bitter upfront. Some citrus, a touch of sweetness, lots of pine/spruce hops. Alcohol content is well-hidden.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow, with smallish, fast-dissipating head. Aroma has lots of malt and biscuit character, some citrus and basement dankness. Flavor is quite bitter upfront, with grass, bread, biscuit, some citrus, and pine/spruce hop bite in the finish.

From my brother at a bottleshare: ppurs oily black. Aroma is maple, chocolate, no roast. Taste is maple, boozy, tingly, hits you on the head. Noticeable hop character. Some bitter aftertaste. Large and powerful. I like that the whisky takes a backseat.

Fresh can drunk 9/15/18.
Clear, light hay-to-brass golden. Huge, white head atop is well-retained.
Pine, nectarine and grapefruit in the nose is strong and aromatic showing no scallion or resin on the end. Tons of fruitiness, light juice and lots of honey and biscuit collecting on the end, from the malt. Very big and full aroma for its size.
In mouth it's more dry than expected with a bit of vegetal twang and or borderline scallion. Malts get husky, even and it grows quite lacking in texture as it continues. Watermelon-like yeast notes seem out-of-place with the heavily citric and vegetal hop notes. Low, loose carbonation exacerbates things and it ends kind of sluggish, mushy and borderline sour. Wow, the nose was so promising.

Can from my dad purchased in Mass. Slightly hazy light golden color with a huge frothy off white head that slowly recedes. Grassy earthy pine with bits of mango and citrus on the nose and a faint sweet bread underneath. Bits of alcohol at the edges. Pretty tasty DIPA
