Bottle. Rather thin dark brown color with a lacy head. Malty, slightly fruity and nutty aroma, not a lot of roastedness. Nutty, but not exactly chestnuts. A bit of burnt nose. Sweet flavor, dark fruits, nuts, roasted malts. Chocolate flavors are there, but not exactly chestnuts. Thin, light body. Very fruity. Too sweet as well. Poorly made, especially in comparison with their other stouts.

Bottle. Bright, deep amber-red color with a thick, one-finger head. Sweet, spicy aroma of apple cider and cinnamon. Some caramel and amber malt in the background. Citrus in there too, as well as some nutmeg. Really smells like apple pie or mulled cider. Relatively restrained, though. Sweet, spicy flavor, big cinnamon and caramel with chocolate. Apple is quite in the background. There is a bit of a sour tinge, plus a decent amount of bitterness in the finish. Actually, the finish is very bitter for such a sweet dessert beer. Makes it easy to drink, since it would be cloying without it. Rather rich, full body too. A remarkable well done beer. I really like it, even though generally don’t go for this kind of thing.

Black color; small head. Cappuccino aroma with a hint of vanilla. Chocolate flavor with light roasted malt; the body is medium strong, leaning on the weak side; there are just traces of vanilla (luckily). Not complex but fairly balanced.

Bottled. Near black, creamy beige head. Roasty ashy vanilla aroma. Sweet with lots of vanilla. After vanilla comes vanilla and then ... more vanilla. Though pleasant at first it becomes overpowering and completely one dimensional.

Bottled at Towers, Tokyo. Very dark brown, rich head. Chocolate cherry aroma. Soft and deep, medium bodied. Notes of coffee and butterscotch. Dryish finish with tobaco and strawberry with mild bitter finish. A relaxed, mellwo and pleasant porter.

Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and a trace of orange. Black, head quickly faded to just a bit of lace. Orange hits the mouth first, with the chocolate, which is just a bit too sweet at first but fades out into a dark Belgian chocolate taste. Middle palate is of roasted malts, a bit of coffee, dark chocolate, slightly sour orange. Very complex—or maybe complicated is better. This works pretty well. A bit too sweet overall for me, but decent.

Very deep brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is very roasted malts, coffee, milk chocolate, with a little orange. Thin but creamy body. Oh, OK- there’s the orange, it’s in the flavor. Roasted malts, milk chocolate, light coffee, toffee, orange, and a touch of vanilla. I was dissapointed by the aroma, but this turns out to be a very tasty beer. When cold the orange is hidden by the other ingredients, but it really pops as it warms. Easy to drink and held my interest the whole way through. I’m going to have to pick up a few more bottles.

Copper color. Gentle apple aroma. Mouth is light, spicy apple pie with just a touch of citrusy hops, but very balanced for what it needs to do. Lingering apples and cinnamon in the finish. This really surprised me, as the name alone wouldn’t really make me to want to drink this beer, but it is very well executed and I could see being a hit with some people. As good as an Apple Cinnamon beer can get

Pours a copper amber color with a small head. Strong cinnamon aroma with sweet malts, and light apples. Very much a kitchen after baking an apple pie. Smooth and medium bodied. Intense cinnamon flavor right from the start. Following comes light apples, dough, and sweet malts. Surprisingly tasty, though one is enough.

Fruity, sweet, buttery aroma. Cherries, citrus, pine, butterscotch. Medium to dark copper color, lace. Peppery hops in the mouth, with caramel, toffee, citrus, pine. Long lasting, dry, prickly hop finish, with residual caramel. Quite hoppy indeed. Sweetness that is in the nose all but disappears in the mouth, and it ends up a bit too bitter.
