Draught. Opaque dark brown with very small frothy beige head, cherry/mocha aroma, low carbonation, tart wine taste with woodsy flavor, thin body, long tart finish, with wood aftertaste. The port barrel has dominated the beer totally.

Crisp, slightly hazy golden and lightly copper body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, pine, citrus, resin and dank hops all with a touch of sweetness noticeable in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive fresh hop flavour with a lot of grass, hay, pine, grapefruit and very pungent citrus flavours, all with a well supportive malt backbone and some sweetness from apricot and peaches. Aftertaste is well-balanced with a great fresh hop flavour, but an equally present malt and sweetness that shows very well throughout. Overall, a very nice IPA with a great profile and amazing balance - surprising and delicious! Great to sample, given this is my first trip to Maine and I was able to find this at a 7-11! I sampled this twelve ounce can next door to my hotel at a 7-11 in Portland, Maine, available as a single can for US$2,29 sampled in my hotel room a few minutes later on 28-July-2016.

On cask @ The Gingerman. This is a soft blurry bright golden colored one with more than what I expect from a cask head. Medium sized clearly white, lacing and lasting! The aroma is really mild. So mild, that I'm struggling to get anything at all except a mild sweet herbalness. Oh, this has a lot of things going on at once in the taste this. It's really herbal, Asian infused. Grassy and zesty. Also it's really spicy with ginger, lemongrass and cinnamon. Quite a thin one texture vise and it's near flat on the bubbles. Soft sweetish tail. Like it more and more. 17.06.2015
