Can from Beer52. Dark brown with a thin and swiftly vanishing beige head. A bit fizzier than I like but not too bad. Good rich malty chocolate up front followed by black coffee and burnt fruit cake. Bit of a powdery mouthfeel, and there's a vague vegetable hint in the background, but it's a decent brew nevertheless. A pleasant sipper for a TV night at home.

5 ounce draft. Cloudy bright yellow color. Flavor does have a slight guava hint to it. Herb like in the finish. Bitterness is soft but here in the form of herbs. Respectable.

Can from Beer52. Orange in colour with a white head. Buttery with a light grassy finish. An ok lager, it grew on me.

Pours amber with a thick white head and heavy carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, oak and grassy hops. Taste has fruity malt, gentle hops, slightly spiced malt. Palate has light nutmeg notes on the nose, continuation of the floral hops. Good.

Bold aroma of earthy mango, apricot, and notes of Bready malt. Flavor is thankfully not as sweet as I was expecting. Show some balance with a mild herbal kick in the finish. Somewhat like pine. Alcohol doesn’t show a whole lot either. (A tad when warmer). This was a Pleasant surprise!

Appearance is lightly hazy orange-yellow with nice sparkle, finger width white foamy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is bready malts, caramel, mild tart fruity hops. Taste is mild tart fruit along with bread and crackers. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty standard.

[12oz can from Beer52 as Per Diem Pre Prohibition Porter.] A Cola coloured pour with a fast fading tan coloured head; aroma of chocolate syrup and treacle; smooth syrupy chocolate taste; with a smokey finish and a herbal bitterness. Pleasant.
