24 oz can on 15th Jan 2018, shared with my Son-in-Law at his place in California. Clear and clean golden body, wispy white covering for a head. No real aroma, some corn like grainy notes maybe, taste also leaning towards a semi-sweet corn/grain flavour.

12 oz bottle into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip glass on 12th Jan 2018 while on holiday in California. Red hue to the mahogany coloured body, off-white topping. Malts and more malts in this malty Scotch Ale, pretty sweet tasting with those malty molasses giving off some caramel and toffee flavours. My sweet tooth really liked it; did I mention how malty it was?

Backlog bottle rating. Pours a clear amber with a head that dissipates quickly. Caramel foward nose with light cookie notes and honey. Sweet on the palate, corn, grain, more honey. Light and drinkable, but not good flavor-wise.

Bottle as Pilot Batch Coffee Stout (2017) 5.1%, from Consumers Beverages. Black / beige. Roasted malts, coffee, mocca. Smooth and slightly sweet. Some coffee bitterness, but creamy at the same time. Well drinkable.

12 oz. bottle. Deep ruby color with some soapy head. Aroma is artificial chocolate (like a Tootsie Roll). I let this warm up in hopes that it would be drinkable. Yeaaaaah, not really. It maybe tolerable cold. Sugar, burnt caramel and overwhelming artificial chocolate. Please don't waste your money on this. Borderline vile and disgusting.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/20/2017. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head wit good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of honey, brown sugar, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, brown sugar, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and slightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this was a good Amber lager style. All around good robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the very mildly bitter finish. Clean, smooth, and flavorful dark/bready malt and honey flavors. Could have definitely used more hops, but there is nothing really wrong with it. A nicely enjoyable offering, and good style example.

From Dec 2007

This pours from 12oz bottle a clear medium gold with about a 1 finger head of foam. It has a little bit of lacing.

The smell is of some malt and honey but it's light.

The taste has some sweet malt and honey flavour to it but it's very bland. The mouthfeel is fairly nice and it's of medium carbonation but again, the flavours are very bland. I got this in a mixed 12 pack and I would *not* buy this by the sixer. It's just too ordinary. Give me their Pale or IPA, or their Amber Lager.

Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. Effervescent. The aroma holds lightly toasted biscuits, cereal, bread. Medium sweet flavour with a bit of sugary honey, some toffee, more lightly toasted bread, crispy cereal. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Sugary finish, with more honey, very simple bready malts, some caramel, minimal bitterness. Quite simple and sweet overall.
