Our journey began with a 15-gallon soup kettle, a quest for better beer and countless batches of homebrew. The passion and personality that began Bell’s continues today through our breweries and Eccentric Café. Bottle. Whoa!!! This was a big beer. Black, velvety, thick. Big chocolate cooled head. Aroma was coffee, chocolate. Taste, was thick, rich coffee and chocolate but one can still detect the hoppy undertone. Really great!

Bottle. Very dark brown almost black. Aroma was coffee, chocolate. Taste was burnt toast, coffee, chocolate, roasted grains. Not as sweet as one would imagine.

Bottle. Extremely dark with a very small head. Aroma is burnt grains, coffee and hints of chocolate. Taste is a bitter chocolate, coffee and burnt grains.

Bottle. Really loved this one. Deep, amber-copper color. Light head. Aroma was fruit cake, hints of molasses. Taste is dried fruit, fruit cake, malty sweet. Not bad.

Bottle. Cloudy gold color with a medium head. One of the better American Hefeweizen beers I’ve had. Aroma was clove and bananas. Taste was spicy cloves and fruity banana.

Bottle. Was very disappointed with this one. Dark amber-brown in color. Small amber head. Aroma was coffee and cherry. Taste was pretty bad. Cherry cough syrup and coffee. I believe if it had more chocolate and less coffee it would have been better.
