No feckin idea how I have not rated this! Well then! A decade and a half old bottle to the rescue. Almost opaque dark brown beer, a good bubbly tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Yeah - this is still crispy after all this time. Some decent chocolate in the malts along with toffee and malt cream, yeah some of the toffee is from oxidisation but, it works well here. Back end brings ripe fruits and fair old spicy bitterness. This brew has some serious legs, was expecting knackered cardboard but, very far from it.

Pours a big frothy head over a slightly hazy gold beer. Light American hop nose. As expected, very light in malt, but with a nice bitter edge. So not too complex, but more hop than any other "lite" beer. From Jewel/Osco, Downers Grove, IL.
