Description
Twisted Barrel Ale exploded onto the Coventry beer scene on 29th March 2014.

After months of hard work developing a small selection of beers that would appeal to Coventry's patrons thirsting for our unique mix of modern and classical styles and methods we launched our beers at Coventry's number 1 bottle bar, Inspire, and it was a huge success. Originally brewing on a 60 litre kit, we described ourselves as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery'.

20th June 2015 and we held another launch. This time in our brand new Brewery and Tap House at FarGo Village. With a new 1000 litre brewing kit and an entirely new brand design from Stewart Easton, we've finally become the brewery we always set out to be. Almost 2 years later we transferred our bar and brewing kit into a space about 5 times larger than before, we're still serving the best beer at FarGo Village.

Keg at the Kings Head, Leicester. Dark brown, translucent. Light aroma with chocolate and vanilla notes. Sweet taste with marshmallow flavour, settling down to a more bitter burnt malt finish. Heavy, heavy carbonation. Very good, not always a fan of keg mild but this is an exception.

Can. Cloudy amber beer, good cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry and with a fine minerally crispness. Fluffy malts, light and dry and with a modest creamy sweetness. White orange and orange peel. Mild hop spice. A little cooling pine. Light dry finish. All the basis of a good beer but it feels thin and dry.

From cask at Firefly, Hereford, Herefordshire, with OGJ 02.01.18. Served using sparkler. Pale golden. Dense and persistent white head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of gooseberries, kiwi and lime. Very well balanced. Gooseberries and citrus bitterness is lingering on. Full mouthfeel for such a low ABV.
