Golden color, soapy white head with médium retention, soma lacing. Aroma has notes of sweet malts with bready notes. Flavor is slightly sweet, bready, notes of cookies with good alcoholic presence. Maltiness in the final with dense mouthfeel.

33 cl bottle served in La Trappe chalice. It pours very hazy, brownish honey-hued. Off-white head lasts very little. Aroma is quite low: just some hints of honey, brown sugar and yes, figs. Mouthfeel is fizzy, dry, tasteless, not lingering.

Fra flaske på Malatesta, Alicante, sammen med BP og Harald: uklar mørk gylden med flott skum som varer. Nydelig fruktighet både i aroma og smak, her finner jeg appelsinmarmelade, tropiske frukter og bringebærblader. Lekker bitterhet i den lange, gode ettersmaken. Flott munnfølelse.

Cloudy golden color with a foamy white head with good retention. Aroma has resin and hoppy notes, very fruity. Flavor has a decent bitterness, fruity some citrus and peachy hints. Smooth and creamy on palate with good bitterness in the final.

APPEARANCE: dark brown to almost black color. translucent with ruby body against light. medium light brown head with low retention. TASTE: toasty malt flavor with initial sweet and coffee notes. slight nutty note. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium-low carbonation. slight alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a porter with more roasted notes and darker than usual.
