Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.

Today, BridgePort Brewing Company is one of the top specialty brewers in the state of Oregon. As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. Distribution has grown from Portland to 18 states, and the brewery’s emphasis on producing quality, innovative ales has provided it with an international following and numerous awards.

Honey colored pour with a lingering white head. Slight cherry tartness, light fruit, a bit of farmhouse, light herbal earth. Finish is mildly dry. Medium body with plenty of carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

Sampled @ GBBF day 1. Clear yellow golden color, virtually no head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a bit sweet, lightly citrussy, a hint of fruity hops and slightly bitter. Low to average body and carbonation. Meh.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours lightly hazy green - yellow with a small white head. The aroma is softz sweet, tangy, salted lemon, lime, apple, lemon sherbet and mild honey. The taste is smooth, flat, honey & ginger tea, oily, juicy, stone fruits, candy and toasted sugar with a short, sugary white finish. Light - medium body and limited carbonation. Not much going on. Fair.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours orange gold with a white head. Tart cherry aroma - but not strongly so. Med minus body. Flavor is malty and has some tart cherry. Just a bit phenolic. It’s ok, but not as cherry as expected. Still, it’s growing on me.

Tap at OBF 2016. Pours gold with a white head. It has that cream ale aroma - reminding me of vanilla cream soda just a bit - which may only be a thing with the name. Med body or nearly. Flavor is sort of malty with that smooth cream thing. Maybe white grape? Pale fruits? Flavor is not extreme, but it is nice.
