Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.

Today, BridgePort Brewing Company is one of the top specialty brewers in the state of Oregon. As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. Distribution has grown from Portland to 18 states, and the brewery’s emphasis on producing quality, innovative ales has provided it with an international following and numerous awards.

Bottle from a mixed box at a Grocery Outlet. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is sort of leafy/floral. Med body. Flavor is floral/fruit. Thought of Mosaic for an instant, but that’s not this. There is a kind of green melon with the flavors, maybe. Finishes, dry bitter and pretty tasty.

Bottle: Poured a deep thick black with a thin light brown head, which laced the glass edges. Aroma is tart cherries and chocolate. The first sip is a mix of dark bakers chocolate and roasted malts, hints of cherries and pits.

Bottle pour. This is a pretty good session beer. Light, earthy flavors with citrus. Nice, refreshing beer. Like this.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a light orange/yellow body with a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and then falls leaving some nice slightly foamy yet clingy lacing gracing the sides of the glass, carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace.
The smell had lemongrass and citrus are up front, lightly malted coming forth in the background but stays mainly subdued for the most part, and there’s a nice spicey/pepperiness coming through to tie everything together.
The taste had lemongrass/citrus leading to a tangy yet peppery almost spiciness, spicy aftertaste, dry finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium, fairly sessionable. Carbonation seems good for an American Blonde Ale and good for me, becomes slightly crisp.
Overall, actually this is Bridgeport’s best beer that I would come back to again.

The appearance had a hazy orange colored body with a one finger white foamy head that dies and leaves some sticky lacing
The smell had some bitter hops up front, but slowly combines with the malts to balance as it warms.
The taste had a more bitter than sweet flavoring, but still good for the most part, slightly dry bitter aftertaste, definitely a very dry finish (this definitely has one of the driest finishes I’ve ever had in any DIPA).
On the palate, it sat at about a medium, semi-sessionable. Carbonation seems a bit under for the style, not bad to me.
Overall, definitely not the best DIPA on the market, but still worthy of eventually coming back to, not a disappointment, just not what I expected from Bridgeport.

Bomber from Green’s - Buford, Bottling #13. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toffee, caramel, vanilla, spicy hops, mild candied fruits. The taste is citrus hops, toffee, vanilla, oak, nougat, a bit of chocolate. Medium bodied, prickly booze, moderate carbonation, good balance. Nice beer.

Dark draft pour. A lot of coffee on the nose. Sweet chocolate flavor with some coconut. Awesome porter.

Bottle: Poured a copper top to middle with crystal carbonated balls at the bottom. Head was thin and white. Aroma was soft juicy fruit hops, could almost make out the bud growing on the vine in my mind. Taste was hoppy juicy refreshing, nice soft grain finish.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s. Hazy dull golden appearance with an off white head. Spicy piney hops in the nose. Some biscuity notes as well. Moderate to high bitterness. Earthy / biscuity flavor. Kind of chalky. A touch of fruit. Ok to drink but boring.

Pours with medium silky and lasting head. Aroma is mostly citrus (grapefruit), taste is sharp and mildly sweet, tangy like grapefruit, overall mouthfeel seems kind of watery, but not too noticeable due to the excellent and tart taste. Hoppy for a pale ale, but delicious.
