Description
Craft beer is a passion, an obsession and a journey. This journey has opened our eyes (and taste buds) to some of the finest examples of beer this planet has to offer. Our tastes and expectations have forever changed, and so have our methods of enjoyment. From beer trades, to home brewing, to attending release parties and festivals one thing became clear… We rarely drink the same beer over and over again, and we love to share.

Very slightly hazy golden coloured body with a three centimetre tall, off-white head, that dies fairly quickly and leaves a pretty ugly lace. Aroma of very fresh herbal and tropical fruits-based hops with a good dose of alcohol and a touch of malt as well - nice and fragrant. Light to Medium-bodied; Slightly grassy and grainy with a big hop kick of herbs, flowers and tropical fruits with a little bitterness coming from the hops near the end, but fairly easy-to-drink. Aftertaste is mild and watery with some light hops, a touch of cardboardie malt and very little else, perhaps a touch sour. Overall, a decent beer, not much really going on, no real depth and only a faint sourness to draw away from a mediocre product. When faced with this option and others that seem interesting, go with the others - you aren’t missing much. I sampled this 32 ounce growler fill earlier today from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 12-December-2015 for US$5,99.

Nitro at the brewery. Poured a dark, nearly pitch black color with a small tan, compact nitro head. Aroma was nice roasted notes, chocolate, blast of fresh, well roasted coffee. Flavor had plenty of tasty, smooth roasted notes, with a light bitter dark chocolate finish, delicious roasted coffee character. Rich and tasty.
