Bottle. Aroma of an IPA? Malt with floral hop anyway. Light orange gold color with a hefty white head doing a little lacing. Medium to full bodied with creamy carbonation. The flavor is malt, floral hop, light stone fruits, and cardamom and/or clove. Very tasty. The finish is dry, though sweet fruit notes lurk, and there is delightful low level bitter. Tastes wonderful.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. yeasty, musty, earthy, hoppy aroma. yeasty, spicy, hoppy, slight bitter flavor. Medium body. Lingering spice and noble hops. Fairly dry. Slight tannins.

Dark amber with tiny off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and christmas spices. Fruity flavor with roasted malt, yeast, spices and ripe fruits.

Bouteille 750ml. De couleur orangée et voilée. Nez de levures fruitées (agrumes, pêche, léger de poires, notes de mangues), moyennement malté de sucre bonbon et avec des notes de pain, de houblon herbeux et d’épices (traces de poivre). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture moyennement crémeuse. Goût de levures fruitées aux faibles notes sûres (agrumes, moyen de poires, léger de pêche, traces de pommes) avec des notes épicées (notes de clou de girofle et traces de coriandre) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de sucre bonbon accompagné de notes de pain et des traces de biscuits au miel puis en finale l’on retrouve un goût moyennement amer de levures aux notes épicées (poivre) et asséchantes, léger de houblon herbeux et d’alcool doux. Post-goût moyen et un peu sec, moyennement amer de levures, léger de houblon herbeux et de fruits (zest d’agrumes, noyau de pêche) et de petites notes d’alcool.

75 cL bottle. Mild but sharp citrus hop aroma. Hazy orange tinged gold color with a lazy white head. Medium body with sharpish carbonation. Flavor of light malts overlaid with citrus bitter and a few fruit notes. There’s yeast, mild spice, and a very nice amount of bitter for the finish. It’s tart, but not sour. The bitter builds in the mouth. It’s really nice to drink.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 17 Dec 2007) Dark reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dark fruit and traces of red berries (cowberries and raspberries). Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, slightly tart hints of red berries and fresh notes of spicy hops in the finish. Malty, spicy nose with notes of dried fruit, orange peel, caramel, toffee and spices (clove, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon). Malty, spicy taste with dried fruit, orange peel, treacle toffee, crisp-bread, brown sugar, ginger, clove, cinnamon and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Spicy and elegant winter warmer. Very nice.

Bottled@Kerstbierfestival, Essen. Brownish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is spices, alcohol asnd plum. Flavour is spices, malts, some hops and also some slight vegetables.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy ruby, small head. Orangey nose with some pine needles and winegum. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium to full body. Clove and nutmeg accompany almondy yeast. Drying hoppy bitter finish. Flavourful without being sticky, even more so as flavours opens up upon warming. Remains drinkable and elegant.
