(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy, orangey brown with a dense and lasting, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and spices. Medium body, roasted malty accents and spices. Quite fruity with a solid bitterness creating a fine balance. A neat Christmas beer. 160207

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Hazy, ambery body. Off-white head. Aroma of caramel, hops, ... Not very complex flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Had expected more from this La Rulles beer.

A hazy orange beer with a thick lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit especially peaches, but also notes of green grapes, malt, prunes, over ripe fruits, wood, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits, both oranges and peaches, as well as some cloves, malt, wood, and alcohol. Leading to a slightly acidic and fruity end.

A dark golden beer with a lazing small off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit, caramel, malt, and spices, amonst those lemon grass, cinnamon, and cloves. The flavor is sweet malty with a strong dusty hop note as well as strong fruit notes - especially figs and apricot - I’m not that fond of figs, the end is dry with a strong yeast note. Oddly the body seems a bit watery inspite of the 7% ABV.

A deep dark red beer with a dense brown head - it was very lively when I opened the bottle. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruit, as well as lesser notes of dust, prunes, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, over ripe fruits, prunes, and dust, leading to a dry end with notes of chocolate as well as hints of spices.

Bottle Deep brown to black, clear body. Lightly brown, frothy to lightly rocky head. Lovely aroma of fruits and hops. Some bitterness and sweetness combined in the flavour. Not too bad, but the balance could be better.

Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Label "Cuv’ee Meilleurs Væux". Dark brown color with a off-white head. Aroma off roasted malt, caramel, licorice. Flavor is sweet and very complex.

75 cL bottle. Pours with light brown head. Smell and taste is strong and complex with lots of elements of coffee,chocolate, fruit and spice. Very complex taste palate (but well balanced) that requires you to come back to this several times :)8-4-7-4-16=3.9
From tap at Den tatoverede Enke as La Rulles Noel, 7.2%. Pours dark brown with a huge, dense and tan head. Aroma is solid yeasty and fruity, classic Belgian, with a solid malt base. Spiced and malty flavoured with notes of raisins, prunes and sugar. Dark roasted malt flavours with a the same overripe notes in the flavours that the aroma holds. Yeasty and fruity finish.
