Description

330 ml bottle, as La Rulles Pils, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and floral and herbal hops, a hint of honey. Citric mouthfeel. The crisp flavour is well hopped throughout, floral and herbal notes again, bitter finish.

19/IX/25 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 3/XI/25 (2025-928)

Clear copper blond beer, creamy dense off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, some caramel malts, very floral notes, fruity, some pears, a hint of banana, a bit yeasty, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, lots of caramel malts up front, a bit sweet, clean grain flavour, good bitterness keeping things well in balance, a bit oxidized, some honey. Aftertaste: good bitterness, caramel malts, some cardboard, yeasty touch, honey, ripe banana.

2006? Not bad at first, but ultimately cloyingly sweet. Sherry, golden raisins. No complexity. No hops or bitterness. First time having the Brune although it's used in Rullquin, which I've had many times. I'm sure it's great fresh.

On tap at Bishops Arma Vasagaten. Pours cloudy amber with an off-white head. Dirty Belgian yeast, mild spicy esters on the nose. Flavour has a fairly tame Belgian yeast, gentle spice, some sugary esters. Not a particularly great Belgian yeast expression here.
