Can. Pale gold with a huge white head. Aroma of just ripe tropical fruit, grapefruit, crackers. A bit on the thin side, fairly fizzy. The crackers are a little doughy and the texture is softened by the yeast, which then is a little spicy too. But the fruit dominates and is punchy and almost sour but only moderately bitter. Dry. Good beer.

Bottle. Gold with a huge white head. Slightly excessive. Aroma of citrus and citrus blossoms, cracker dough, some herbs. Light bodied, quite fizzy. Crackers and fool with loads of citrus zest (orange, lime, Meyer lemon) then the fruity illusion of sweetness fades towards a bitter and very dry finish. Unlike Buffalo there's no funk. I loved the finish but wanted the malt to lay down just a little lusciousness first. But this is really good - character and finesse.

500ml bottle muled back from Australia last winter. Pours lightly hazed orange golden with almost no head. Aroma: floral, grapefuit, citrus peel, oak, hint of wit esters. Taste: light sweet, tart, dry, fruity, oak barrel, quite gueuze-y in character. Medium bodied, almost zero carb, dry light acidic finish. Unusual, yet tasty. 1500 bottles produced

Bottle. Pale straw gold with a cm of white head.Aroma of zest and boiled lemons, intriguing herbs, rough earthy bread. There's some sweetness to the citrus and some earthy funk, then lots of lemon, bitter oranges and strange herbal notes. The finish is intense but brief.

Bottle. Hard-to-shift cork. Clear reddish brown with a small beige head that retreats to the rim after a time. 3+ Aroma of the forest floor, oak, red berries. Slippery almost milky texture. Flat or so close to it I can't tell. 3+ Sweet with some sticky toasted bread crust joining the moderately tart berries. Low bitterness with some Brett-like spices and bracken at the end. More complex and fuller-bodied than the 2014 version but the lack of carbonation means it doesn't quite come off as well for me. Still, this is a very promising and real beer.

330ml bottle into glass. At Wrest Point, Hobart. Dark fruit nose with some cocoa and chocolate. Black beer with thin creamy head. Laces well. Surprisingly light body with a light fruity hoppy finish. Competently made but a bit lightweight.

330ml bottle at Wrest Point casino, Hobart. Into glass, pours a cloudy amber with floaties and small frothy head. Highly carbonated, tiny bubbles. Nose is raisins and malt. Light and refreshing. Finish is grassy with herbal bitterness. Quite similar to Cooper’s sparkling which is not a bad beer to be compared to.

Half pint on tap at Jack Greene, Hobart. Black beer with thin cream coloured head. Smells of grass, chocolate, and mint. Laces well. Thin body, bitter taste. Finish is minty with dark chocolate turning to bitter cocoa late on. Cleansing and interesting, but yet another sweet stout that isn’t sweet.
