Cask at the Baron Cadogan (JDW), Caversham. Gold with a ring of white head; fruity aroma; quite a heavy body for such a light looking ale; slightly spicy flavour with some solid malts; then a touch of quinine-style dry bitterness to finish. It would be good to try this with a curry sometime, I think it would match up well.

Cask handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Brown, thin beige head. Some sherbert hop on aroma. Well you can tell it’s got simcoe hop on the finish too. Touch of fart on aroma, along with hop. Touch empty on malts but love the hoppy finish. Bit too farty but finishing hops are good.

Cask at the Bridge, Kingswinford. Pours dark amber with a small head. Aroma is some dried fruits and biscuity malt. Some bread to start and a bready, malt finish. As a point, this should be for any beer listed as Banks’s Mild, as they are the same beer.
