Small white surface over orangey-golden, finely carbonated beer. Almonds, rather oppressive nose, solvent, glue, banana, and even some guaiacol (clove). Banana, guaiacol - it tastes for all the world as a strong German Weisse with some more Belgian esters. Toasty-sweet. Sticky feel, alcoholwarmth. Soft carbonation. Karl, this is supposed to be a 'tripel'? If 'tripel' is a style, led by the Westmalle icon, then this is NOT a tripel. Try Weizenbock. Txs to Stef!

Draught Small cream-coloured head over deep dark-brown beer; Malty with faint cola aroma; plywood and liquorice. Dry bitterish initially and the a brown candi sugar onslaught. Finish is again drier, woody, and making it more drinkable. Nutty with some maltsweetness throughout. Feels well bodied, without being heavy. Mild carbonation. Not bad indeed.

25/II/25 - 33cl can as a gift, shared @ home, BB: 27/II/25, lot LA102702242 20:43 (2025-150) Thanks to Jan for the can!
Clear copper orange beer, big solid creamy off-white to yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, wort, grains, a little metallic, cow fodder, sugary sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty start, grains, floral, pretty soapy, bitter, rather unpleasant, some oranges. Aftertaste: soapy bitterness, a bit malty, grains, floral again, some coriander, a little yeasty, unpleasant bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Yeasty and sugary overripe fruity aroma with malt, notes of apricot and ripe pears. Sweet and ripe flavour, medium body. Hardly a beer I'd associate with the fine art of death metal, this is unexciting.

Fles gedeeld met SandervdL. Het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van hop en gist. De smaak is fruitig, kruidig en hoppig.
