Light red coloured beer with orange/amber shine; slightly pinkish tinted white head, small, fed by lively carbonation. Chalk, faint fruit jelly, lemony or faint lemonade, faint wheat, rainwater. Wheaty, wry without being really sour. Faint fruity, probably red fruit but nowhere specific raspberry. Undeniably refreshing, as in opposition to other marked qualities. Very carbonated. Classical example of a commercial description bordering on sheer fiction: for "bursting with", read: meek as a lamb; for "sharp finish", read:overcarbonated; for "no excuses for quality", please add: in comparison to Belle-Vue Framboise.

Cyprus at All about beer. Clear golden color. medium foamy head. Citric and hoppy aromas. Fruity and malty flavors with nice bitter finish. Excellent beer ,really happty to choose this among the many english beers at this shop.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 June) Colour is golden amber, with a foamy head. Nose is fruity with a distinct flowery hoppiness and hints of grapefruit. Complex hop aroma: earthy and flowery at the same time. Taste is fruity and hoppy with grapefruit and/or lemon, apricots and a flowery sewage character (?!). Long, hoppy finish. Very tasty and still easy to drink. Lovely!

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 June) Colour is dark copper, with a foamy, lasting head. Nose is malty and fruity, with a nice character of dusty hops and sewage. Taste is malty and fruity, with the same dusty hop character and a long, balanced, bitter finish. Rather dry. Very nice and tasty regarding the low abv.

[Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm] Clear brownish amber. Very dry and butty with really light body. Bordering to feeling watery, but the malt manages to hold up, and the drybess makes it very drinkable. The finish has notes of tobacco and light grassy bitterness. A quaffer.

Casked. Very reddish amber colour, mediumsized bubbly head. Hops, fruit and weak caramel in aroma. Flavour is quite watery, but some weak hints of hops is there. Grainyness and weak caramel in finish. Overall, watery.

Cask@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Dark ruby red colour, brown mediumsized head. Aroma roasted malts as well as coffee. Smoked and roasted flavour with sweet toffeeish hints. Some chocolate also noteable, but no coffee at all in the flavour. Tnx to omhper, for recomending this before leaving for the OMH-rating session.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Colour is very dark brown, almost black, with a thin velvety pale brown head, disappearing too fast. Nose is roasted, with dark chocolate, coffee, mocha. Taste is roasted with the same flavors (chocolate and coffe), hints of sweetness but mainly dry. Discrete bitterness in the smooth finish. Lovely nose, but taste doesnโt really match the nose. Rather light body, almost on the thin side, actually a bit mild-ish. But still a nice and tasty beer.

[Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Very black with small beige head. Dry with light body and soft mouthfeel. Lightly salty and discretely flavourful. Thereโs roasty malt and tobacco. The hop rate is fairly low, so the lightly salty finish has less than medium bitterness. An excellently balanced session stout. The antipode to US microbrews.

Cask handpull at the Wenlock. Golden with sparse white head. Lagery aroma but with more citrus than you would expect. Even slightly medicinal. Fine if a bit thin. Hop citrus finish is ok. More of a golden ale than a lager to be honest Earlier Rating: 3/7/2006 Total Score: 3.4 Bottle from Good?s Shed, Canterbury. Hazy gold with thin white head. A bottle conditioned pilsner? Citric, hop, biscuit malt aroma. Sharp and cutting in mouth. Hoppy and crisp on finish. Good pilsner. I like it. Aroma is great. Very impressive but more of a golden ale than a pilsner, but drinkable
