Cask-conditioned on gravity at the Exeter Winter Ales Festival 14/1/2017. Ruby red in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Sweetish winter ale, with some bready malts, fruit cake notes, leafy hops and a touch of chocolate, before a warming, slightly bitter, finish. Good.

On tap at Cellar 59, Lyme Regis, July 2016. Clear gold, with a decent white head and plenty of fizz. Pleasant lager, with a soft mouth feel, sweetish cereal malts, leafy hops, a touch of lemon fruit and lingering, bitter, finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle that my wife got me from the brewery-thanks! Dark brown with a large beige head and a middling fizz. Chocolate and roasted malt up front, then a brief tang of lemon and lots of blackcurrant and blackcurrant leaves. Something savoury there too- salt and maybe twiglets. Long-lasting roasty finish. Tasty and interesting.

Floral bitterness gathers momentum. Whisper of citrus and exotic fruits. Light finish. Medium bitter linger. Clean and drinkable if unremarkable.

Bottle from Ammonite Fine Foods which is the sole outlet. Hazy gold beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light, fairly dry and has a fine minerally crispness. . Thin malts, mild sweetness. A little floral bitterness. Little yeast. Mild pithy orange on the dry finish. Standard stuff.

Bottle from the brewery that Dad shared- cheers! A hazy amber beer with a tight cream head. Sweet at first, and the alcohol is evident. Lots of wheat chaff, a little citrus and berry with some toast and coffee notes in the dry finish. Ok beer.
