Draft at Kura’s Krafts, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, light sugary sweet. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a somewhat light, crisp, dry, yeasty, hay, buttery, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, malt, light aromatic. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light sweet malty, light herbal, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

0,5l from bottle at home. Vintage 2023, 12.5% ABV. black color, small white head. Smells soy sauce, spices, light sherry, candi sugar, light vanilla, hints of mint, cocoa, nice to very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes sherry, oxidized, some soy sauce, sweet, candi sugar again, some oak, some vanilla, cocoa, toffee. Finishes light to medium sweet with notes of cocoa, candi sugar and caramel. nice one, not overly complex, on the sweet side of things, rather easy and smooth to drink, gets better at room temperature.

2022 vintage enjoyed in 2026. Caramel has held up nicely. Solid roast finish. Ashy as it warmed.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated November 14, 2025.
Aroma is malt forward with lots of layered caramel notes, chocolate, toffee, and burnt sugar. Light roast notes with hints of dark fruits. Faint oak and light bourbon notes with moderate alcohol notes.
Pours dark brown, almost black with a small, moderately thick, mocha head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. No lacing and very long legs.
Flavor is rather sweet with lots of caramel, toffee, chocolate, treacle and sugar notes. Layers of caramel with some toasted bread and lighter roast notes. Moderate dark fruit notes upfront with lighter notes in the finish. Medium bitterness and medium alcohol notes. Faint oak notes with light bourbon notes.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid barrel aged beer that is real tasty. Complex malt notes with layers of caramel, toffee and chocolate. Lighter bourbon notes provide support for the sugar.
