Taster showing dark brown with no head.
The nose shows light notes of bourbon and maple.
The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Lightly sweet and bourbon forward with a mild hoppy bitterness.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: orange haziness with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: melon, citrusy hops, mango and grassy hoppiness with some light clean malts
Flavor: sweet to bittersweet between the prior noted aromas; finishes citrusy and mango-like
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, semi-low carb, pretty good smoothness on the tongue, fairly low on the bitterness hitting the tongue
Overall: I believe this one is tracking mostly well. With a lil' bit more lowering of the carb and bitterness levels it's on it's way of dancing with the big hitters of style soon enough.

Shared with Josh at Festival of Dark Arts 2026 in Astoria, OR.
A lot of mescal, a bit roasty and smoky. Moderately thick, a bit fruity. Pleasant.

Dark brown, bubbly head. Lots of smoke, cactus and chocolate. Light body for style, the mezcal lending smoke, lending juiciness. Good chocolatey base.

Waxed, capped 500 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy/foamy tan head. Aroma of dark caramel, bourbon and some wood. Full bodied. Not dry, but missed sticky. Fair amount of heat which partially stands in for bitter. Dark toffee, bourbon, heat, dark chocolate and some oak for flavor. Eclipse remains a good drink in this version.

Aged 12 years. Aroma is still massive whiskey and slight peat. Great aroma! Black pour with medium deep brown head retains well as a dense collar of varying, and large, bubbles. Flavor is chocolate and boozy.

2022 cellared since purchase from the brewery. Softened by time and a lower ABV than many of these, still a really nice beer.

Waxed capped 500 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a moderate creamy tan head that persisted. Aroma of bourbon, dark malt and chocolate. Full bodied. Not dry but not sticky. Heat and oak stand in for bitterness. Flavor is bourbon, dark burnt malt, chocolate and oak astringency. Good stuff.
