Can from Tavour. Pours nearly opaque dark brown with a transient tan smear. Aroma of very dark caramel, bourbon and a light chocolate note. Full bodied; quite slick feel. Far from dry. Heat might be standing in for bitter. Flavor has bourbon, dark caramel, brown sugar, and hints of chocolate and oak astringency. Wow ale.

2023 bottle cellared for two years. Dark and deep with complex flavors throughout and an ashy finish.

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque black color, average sized light brown colored head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma and flavor are malts, roast, liquor. Awesome!

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque black color, average to medium sized beige to light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, soft roast, barrel, bitterness. Damn 2014 barrels wow, very very good still. Lovely beer.

0.473l can. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and dried fruit. Pours almost black color with thin soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with rich roasted malt and coffee, follows by chocolate and nuts with earthy, ashy and grassy notes, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is dry and heavy bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Liquid burnt kebab…

Rich dark malt character, some burnt toffee, a little biscuit, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, faint bourbon, fudge. Decent body, not too hot. Drinks pretty well overall. Not cloying, which is nice. A whisper of smoke.

CBJ tasting, thanks to Wingman for the bottle. Near clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied dark malts, but rich tasting. Rich bourbon soaked fruits. A little spice. Overall, a quaffable affair.
