Tall head on this dark bronze beer. Aroma has a decent amount of citrus and fruity hops with a mild malt background. The flavor flips the script and while having a medium hop bitterness, i found hte hop flavor to fall in behind the malts. Not bad, just a bit of a letdown.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 2/18/11
Aroma: The nose is really sweet, lots of fruity notes, some yeast, honey, and candied sugar
Appearance: The pour is a cloudy golden-orange with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is pretty darn sweet as well, lots of fruity flavor both candied and not
Palate: Medium bodied with a tingly feel on the tongue and a lasting sugary feel on the mouth
Overall Impression: Man is this one a sugarfest, it's not bad, not some crazy sugary mess, but just a touch on the messy side. I would say that it could probably use some rounding. Also, that feeling on the inside of my mouth that it is covered in a slight coating of sugar is a bit off-putting from a beer. Despite those criticisms, this isn't a bad brew, but I can't go too high with the score.

Hazy gold beer, frothy white head. Palate seems a little soft for the style but I like it. Starts with a sweet fruitiness but then some bittering hops kick in. These run through to the crisp finish and beyond providing a bitter aftertaste. Unusual mix of sweet and bitter.

Dark brown with a finger width of head. Sweet roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, light toasted malt. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Flavor is full of nice roasted malts, sweet molasses, chocolate, and earthy hops. Really nice, full, flavorful brown ale. Great.

Cloudy amber beer with a very frothy white head. Head is grapefruit bitter with pepper! Palate is crisp and dry. Starts with bitterish orange and coriander. Some semi sweet wheaty malt follows, then sweet orange as the beer froths in the mouth. Some creamy malt and then a dry finish with some grapefruit bitterness and quite a bit of pepper. Interesting well joined up beer.

Draught at Prohibition Taproom. Dark with a super tight, creamy, beige head. Very Guinness like. Aroma of roasted malts, toasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Smooth, velvety mouth. Full of chocolate, coffee, roasted toasty malt, light herbal notes, and sweet molasses. Mild bittersweet finish. Oh so delicious.

A 12.5% bottle. Opaque black beer with a thick chocolate coloured foamy head. The head is creamy and tastes of sweet chocolate and has a fruity undertone. When agitated the beer produces a surprising nose of pineapple! Beer is soft and silky. A sweet chocolatey start with a little pineapple coming through. Followed by mildy roasty malt and a little coffee. Complex, sweet. Dry semi bitter finish. Quite a beer!
