Il gusto al naso rimanda molto al mais e un po’ all’orzo. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma va in rapida dispersione, con bollicine medie e carbonazione bassa. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. Le bollicine sono poche e fini, con carbonazione persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è snello. L’amaro è appena percepibile, con una punta di aspro. L’intensità gustativa è leggera e la persistenza gustativa è sufficiente. Il finale è acido. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L’aroma in bocca rimanda a pane, mais e orzo.

Flasche („hite Pale Lager“, 4,3 %, 640 ml) aus einem Supermarkt in Busan. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase recht chemische Malzsüße und Anklänge an Konservengemüse. - Antrunk mild und matt malzsüßlich mit zartem Süßsauer und einem Anklang an Gemüsekonserven. Hopfen ist praktisch nicht zu erschmecken, wodurch das Bier stumpf und fade wirkt. Gut rezent, schlank bis wäßrig. Im Abgang bis auf nachhallende künstliche Süße (Süßstoff) nur noch Leere. Widerlich fader, ganz schwach fauliger Nachtrunk, der um so ekliger wird, je länger man nicht weitertrinkt. - Billig gemacht (mit Zusatz u.a. von Stärke), fade und mit üblen Fehlaromen: dieses Bier, eins der großen Supermarktbiere Südkoreas, ist tatsächlich so schlecht wie sein Ruf. Ab damit ins Klo - und: nie wieder Hite!

Dark. Light body. A rather clean malt profile with faint roasted notes. A bit of caramel malt and some cocoa. The can I had said Lager Type, which makes me think this is a schwarbier and not a stout. The flavor profile fits a schwarz, too. Decent option in a watery lager wasteland.

So, my buddy drags me into this absolute garbage bar in Busan. Dirty, sticky, loud pop-rap, the works. Ok. There are two beers at the bar, Budweiser and Hite. I’m thinking, at least I can get a tick, and I order the Hite. In hindsight, I should’ve ordered the fucking Budweiser.

Malty with a bit of citrus aroma. Flavor is lemony with medium malt. Gets rather sour lemon near the finish. Interesting at first and difficult at the end.

Can from Shazteen Enterprise, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is light caramel, some coffee. The flavour is light liquorice bitter with a light, watery, smoky malt, dry coffee palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Bei einer Blindverkostung mit Leitungswasser und diesem Bier würde ich wohl meine Probleme haben, eine Zuordnung zu treffen. Das Bier ist primär nicht schlecht, aber es schmeckt einfach nach nix. ...immerhin mein erstes Bier aus Südkorea; und da ich vermutlich in nächster Zeit nicht dort hinkommen werde, wohl auch das letzte...

355ml can from an Asian food shop. Pours gold with no head. Sweet and papery aroma. Taste is envelope glue and paper. Very bad stuff.
