Description

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, light brown head. Taste: Roasted malts, pretty strong herbal, liquorice, hints of smoke and brown sugar. Lightly hint of wood. Medium sweet, combined with decent hopbitterness. Average to bit above average carbonation, medium body. Bit resinous. Bittery palate at finish. Ok beer, but could use some more balance and complexity.

Fles van Mitra Bunnik. Butterscotch, klein pepertje, toffee.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy pale golden, thin white head. Taste: Combination of wheat, coriander, bit yeasty, lightly hints of banana and nice citrus and orange peel notes on the roof of the mouth. Malty finish. Quite nice, enjoyable witbier.

Bottle, bottled 12.2017 (from hetbiermoment). Pours black with tan head. The head stays. Aroma is smoke, rubber, malt, some sugar. Flavor is sweet and bitter, smoke, some bacon, tar, rubber, fruits, spices, booze. Finish is harsh rubbery bitter with booze. Overall: a mess and not a quad in any thinkable way, but still drinkable.

Bottle shared at De Vrienden. Very hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of light fruits, citrus, light herbs and light malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Given other reviews I’m guessing there must be quite some bottle variation with this beer. It’s nothing very exciting, but it’s drinkable with no bad flaws.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Van Vulpen, Doorn. Clear light brown with a thin off-white head. Malty caramel aroma. Taste is bittersweet with a faint heat from the chili peppers and some fruity notes. Body is thin but adequate. Lively carbonation. Nice beer.
