Description

Sampled @ Pint Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2016. Nice dark red color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweet, quite blossomy, floral, lightly yeasty. Not bad actually. Medium body and carbonation.

Small sample from bottle @ PRZH Winterbiertickfest (2016). Dark brown color. Light beige head. Aroma’s: sweet, caramel, light smoky, light butter. Retronasal it’s moderate sweet, strange herbal. Flavor is moderate sweet, strange, yeasty, moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes bitter and yeasty. Messy.

Thank you for sharing people! Sampled bottled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Dark red amber, tanned head. Nose is weird sweet vegetables, herbal, red fruits. Taste is weird herbal bitter leaves, booze, sugar, low carbonation, toast,… Low carbonation & oily. Not really bad but quite a weird mess, not too crazy about this weird concoction.

Dark blond with thick head. Lots of malts in the aroma. Slightly yeasty and spicy flavour with a weird twist of radleresque-citrus in the finish. Why?

Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2016.

Bottle sample at PINT Winterbierfestival ’16. Dark brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of butterscotch, vanilla, hop. Flavour is relatively bitter, hoppy, light butterscotch, sweet nuts, nettles, some citrus, hint of toast, rather bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not really a Quad, but they call it a Quad. OK.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Luc. Clear golden with no head whatsoever. Faint fruity aroma. Taste is bittersweet. Beer is almost completely flat, clearly something wrong here. Besides the flatness, this is an uncomplicated (Belgian) blonde.
