650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of spicy cedar notes upfront, followed by some skunky vegetal notes that seem to be imparted from the cedar. Flavour is huge on the cedar, followed by pine and dry biscuity malt. Dominated by the cedar. Not overly well-made, but it's inoffensive. Meh.

650mL bottle, pours a murky opaque orange with a large white head. Aroma brings out lots of the bretty funky notes, without much else to breathe. Flavour likewise shows the brett dominating upfront, with some sweet cereal malt in back. Very light bitterness from the hops. Not much complexity, but it's very pleasant. Good stuff.

Draught @ Devil’s Elbow. Gold. Thin head. There’s an odd blackberry and varnish nose. Cleaner on the palate. Light fruity, very berryish character with a balanced sourness and clean finish.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Batch 587

Hazy dark amber color. Sweet and very estery Ale, typical North American attempt at brewing Quads, malty, candy-like, basically cloying. Warm alcohol feeling (too much), and mellow vanilla notes that could be barrel aging, or maybe not. Light nutty touch in the finish.
Not bad. But not for me.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is light with pillowy wheat and a slight metallic tinge. Flavour is crisp and spicy, with spicy coriander upfront, followed by a lightly metallic biscuity malt in back. Not terribly well-crafted but it's drinkable. Alright.

Golden-amber, thin head. Light and malty, finishes with just a touch of hoppy dryness. A basic, but balanced golden ale.
