Description
Created in 2003 by Christophe and Alexia Noyon, the Brasserie Artisanale des 2 Caps, when it started, had a dual vocation: that of giving a new economic dimension to the small family farm to make it sustainable and that of maintaining the remarkable built heritage, that constitutes the Ferme de Belle Dalle.

Thanks to the work and passion of the men and women who compose it, it now has real know-how, which has been rewarded multiple times in competitions. Over the years, the quality and finesse of its beers have attracted a growing number of palates in search of authenticity.

Bottle, 75cl corked, courtesy of fonefan. Some microsize floaties in a hazy golden body. An off-white head leaves lacings. Citrusy nose with pineapple and peach, white sugar and a touch of spices. White sugar, canned peaches, some spices and alcohol in the mouth. Full-bodied, almost stick, dryish and slightly warming. Sweet sugary finish with a little alcohol and spices. A nice beer with the aroma being the best part. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, and maybe too warming. Rating: 7-3-6-4-14-3.4. 091024

Bottle, 75cl corked, at RBNAG -09. It’s an unclear, orange beer topped by a dense, creamy off-white head. Yeasy, citrusy and sugary nose. Sweet, sugary flavor with some spices. Quite fruity. Spiced finish. Medium to full body, effervescent. Overall, too sugary, but quite nice. 091107

Bottled. Very deep brown, close to black with mediumsized foamy/fluffy head. Aroma is liquorice, some mild old coffeelike sourness as well as some slight grassy and floral notes. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, coffee, ashes and some caramel/toffeelike notes. Actually a very pleasant Stout.

From l’Epicerie, Le Bon Marché, Paris
Black color; large head, stiff. Light aroma of cardboard, roasted malt. Medium body structure, there is a strong flavor of roasted malt, possibly dusty, with a late and light liquorice touch; very light sourness from the black malts; dry finish. Balanced.
Nordic style; not my favorite, but not bad..

From l’Epicerie, Le Bon Marché, Paris
Hazy blond color; generous creamy head, stiff. Medium-light aroma of coriander, light yeast. Dry malt flavor, light citrus fruits and coriander, a bit too much yeasty. Not bad but it can’t match a real Belgian Ale.

750 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Hazy orange body with a fine, dense off-white head. Aroma is mild spicy with a sweet fruitiness and hint of malt. Flavor is fruity, spicy with malt and yeast. Relatively light and quaffable, still a bit unusually with a distinct flavor and a pleasant bitter finish.
