Originally rated May 2006. Comes in a 9-pack case, this lager pours a golden-yellow colour. The head is white, creamy-bubbly, has average lager retention and leaves some wavy lacing. This is definitely a different kind of grain malt that I am used to in this kind of beer. Active carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. The same different malt is tasted. Some slight sweetness, some slight sourness. Lemon shows up in the aftertaste. An above average lager worth upgrading the name to premium.

This lager poured a crystal clear medium yellow colour with next to no head. Scents include wine, corn and cereal. First sip was medium carbonated with flavours of corn, citrus, grassy hopps with a slight bitter finish. Corn flavour lingering in the aftertaste.

Originally rated June 2005. Cameron brews come in a 9 pack case. This one pours a light golden-yellow with a medium head and good lace. The aroma is grainy with malt, almost hay, with hints of earth and floral scents. Lightly carbonated and crisp mouthfeel. In the taste, I find sweet malt with a light peach finish. Also, citrus is there, like oranges in the background. Voted best beer by Toronto Life Magazine. Overall, a smooth over-par and well-crafted cream ale.

Originally rated August 2005. Cameron brews come in a square 9-pack case. This one pours a beautiful amber colour with a small head. Not much carbonation, gives this beer a flat mouthfeel. The lacing left is not bad. The nose is a mix of roasted and caramel malts, with the touch of fruit parfum. Slight metallic taste at first bite. Then it dissapears. What is left is a smooth caramel mouth. Mild bitterness found in there. One of my favorite of their three brews and always good to have from time to time.

Purchased in Toronto at a LCBO. Part 3 of 3 dark brown beer that are tested. This one pours a clean brown colour just like the two other brews had tonight (Black Oak Nut Brown and King Dark Lager). Its beige head is not as creamy, not as big and does not stay up as long. The lacing is therefor smaller. The nose is pretty light with dark malt, molasses and raisins. The mouthfeel is not as thin as the others, but still watery. There is a metallic touch in the flavours, with the dark malts and some brown sugar. Other than that, not much here. Was expecting so much more, being that I really like this brewery.

This dark lager poured a black colour with a foamy tan head. Seemed overcarbonated. First sniff found nuts, metal, ripe fruit and some earthy notes. First taste was nice with flavours of molassass, caramel and roasted malt. Almost a slight burnt flavour. Finnish was thick with lingering flavours of roast.

This cream ale poured a light yellow with a bright white head. It had the usual Camerons scent to it. I’m not sure what it is but to the nose it was somewhat floral, aswell as a thick yeast scent with a little alcohol. First sip was a little watery with the usual Camerons flavour. Light to the palate. Refreshing.

Golden ale with a thick white head. Sweet biscuitty malt aroma, with light hops. In mouth, fresh sweet malt, again like cookie dough, fruity esters, almost a bit of coconut, veering towards berries, medium bodied. Bottle from LCBO.
