Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear reddish brown with a beige head. Tart, Bretty nose, sulphurous red wine. Medium body, very dry red wine, wood and sulphur. Some Brett, licorice, tobacco, lacto and smoke. Quite sophisticated really. Ends dry and tart. 220312

22oz bottle-pours a white head and cloudy straw color. Aroma is light malt, yeast, spice-grains of paradise. Taste is light malt, yeast, spice hops.

Bottle at Victor’s tasting at Paul’s. Pours gold. White head. Nose/taste of wheat, lemon and lightly toasted malt. Clean and crisp finish. Medium body.

Big thanks to whoever shared this with me at Sean’s. Poured a deep amber brown with a grayish brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of tart cranberries with a slight bandaid note. Flavor was similar but the bandaid was more prevalent and messed with the raspberry tartness.

Bottle at Chris’ Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia tasting. Deep amber brown, thin beige head. Some rye, some malt. Not much hop. Quite bland. OK, but metallic and touch bland.

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Clear brown beer, not much of a head. Sourish malt and rye. Finishes dry. Skewed sourness.

Bottle thanks to Fata2683: Poured a brown clear with light off white head. The aroma is sour spice and herbal. Taste is similar with sour herbal, rye, spice, and cereal. Very interesting flavor overall.

Courtesy of SHIG. Pours clear copper with thin tan head. The aroma is roasty with firm earthiness, sweet black licorice and earthy spicy rye. The taste is modest in strength of flavor offering up roasted malts, some grains, an odd sort of earthiness and sweet black licorice.

courtesy of Shig. pours ligh brozn/amber, off-white head. aroma of licorice? fruity, strong berry nose and some rye. flavors, dark fruits, malts; strong rye presence, palate has a lingering cereal/fruity finish that is borderline watery.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ chrisos Back In The UK Tasting.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, rye, dusty, sweet malt, light roasted, earth notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100522]
