Tap at FBGF 09. Thanks Dave for entering this one on RB. Pours copperish with thin white head. Aroma was just of pumpkin with some faint traces of spices. Taste plenty of pumpkin, light undertones of malts, some chocolate, brown sugar. Spices remained not too forward with some weak notes of cinnamon and clove.

On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours copper with a slight haze and thin off white head. The aroma has modest amounts of cinnamon, nutmeg and a light sprinkling of pumpkin notes. The taste starts off with vague sweetness that seems to hint at being malty and then becomes pumpkin, cinnamon, a bit of coriander, nutmeg and a mild undercurrent of malts. The pumpkin is really understated and the beer isn’t overly spicy. But I think it could use a bigger pumpkin presence.

On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours copper with a hue of rose and respectable head that is mostly white with a slight tint of pink. The aroma is sweet sticky raspberry extract to go along with sugary sweetness. The taste starts with mild sweet malts then turning toward sweet berry-ness and a modest amount of berry skin tartness. It really dries out into the finish. The nose made it seem like it would be a sticky sweet extract mess of a beer but it certainly doesn’t turn out that way. I didn’t get any wheat in this thing though. Where’d it go?

Tap FBGF. Pours dark brown with beige head, and nice golden lacing. Aroma got plenty of caramel malts and toffee light roastiness adds a small coffee touch to the aroma. Taste, roasted malts, lots of candi sugar, licorice, and a ton of of sweetness for an almost butterscotch/strong toffee palate. Liked this one a lot.

Draught, Destin
Muddy brown body with a nice, loose head. Rich dark sugars on the nose with plum, raisin, golden demerara, apple pie and guava. Rich and quite alcoholic but with a serious dark fruit note (plum, burnt cherry). Lots of dark toffee sugars (okinawan black sugar). Finishes rich, dry, fruity, complex. Burly...it’s not refined but tasty and a lot of fun.

Close to black with a thin head. Chewy molasses and dark fruit aroma. Soft, creamy, with lots of vanilla and coconut sweetness. Only slightly fruity. The alcohol shows only in a slight, late dryness.
