Dark amber/light brown colour. Relatively bright and with a loose head. The aroma is light, very spent grainy. Thin, caramelly and slick. Like Dusseldorf’s macrobrewed alts. Light metallic note, a bit mushroomy. Lots of sweet character and slick oily texture.

Golden colour. Herbal saaz aroma with straw-like malts. Balanced, creamy body. Herbal character and sweet pale malts. Good, easy-drinking stuff.

Dark gold/light copper. Bright. Thin head. Big fresh grain aroma with light herbal hops. Spicy, herbal body with slightly astringent but fresh grains. Light fruitiness and medium bitterness for style. Somewhat refreshing. This beer doesn’t really have a definitive sense of purpose, being too full for refreshment but too light to be "big"...but this adds to the complexity and I kind of enjoy it.

Dark brown. Bubbly head. Looks pretty good. Chocolatey, somewhat fudgey aroma. Somewhat thin, but nice chocolate, cocoa and earthy flavours. Off-dry finish. Rounded character.

Cloudy chestnut with a finger of foam. Plummy, raisiny esters with chocolate, and slightly toffeeish malt. Lots of chocolatey malt, a little earthy, and not much ester on the palate. Decent body. Not the most dubbelish example but I like it. A little bit of alcohol on the back end.

Hazy beige colour. Aroma isn’t bad - banana and marshmallow, not so much yeast though. Toasty palate, kind of crackery malt with light foot and spice. Not quite right.

Golden-brown, shade darker than the Black Duke.. Rather phenolic (bubblegum) nose with that artificial candy banana. Sort of a slippery, oily texture. More candy banana with the slight toffee underneath. Simple take - it needs yeast!

Golden-brown and bright. Very toasty nose with hints of cocoa. Thin body, built for quaffability. A little bit of toast.
