On draft - Stogies and Stouts at Dunedin Brewery 02/08/07. Poured the standard stout look. The aroma is very light and I can just make out some roastiness. The flavor started out with a watery mouthfeel that created a neutral taste. Then some of the flavors showed up in the form of roasted malts, a bit of burnt malts that combine with a vague hoppiness to create a slightly dry, bitter and nearly astringent quality. Since the flavors were so subtle nothing really jumps out and seems out of place yet there really isn’t enough there either.

Draught at the Boca Raton location (Peach variety). Clear golden. Perfumy peach aroma. Sweet and soft. The peach flavour dominates completely, and while this beer has it’s qualities in terms of malt character the flavour is way to lemonady for me.

Draught at the Boca Raton location. Pale yellow. Vague grass aroma. Some rasiny sweet malt character, but not much else. Medium sweet with light body and pleasantly soft mouthfeel. Lingering grassy, salty finish.

Draught at the Boca Raton location. Bronze colour. The nose is lightly grassy and buttery, and it’s very sweet and sugary. The malt profile is really good - soft, yet firm, but the sweetness takes over and it gets a bit cloying. The finish has a burning sensation from the alcohol. Scale down the sweetness, and it’ll be a great bock.
