Shaker pint draft at the Brewery Tasting Room in Springfield, Missouri. The pour is cloudy brown with a foamy light tan head. The aroma is sweet nut malt along with cocoa and Chile pepper. The taste is the sweet nut malt and cocoa of the nose, nicely integrated with a bit of the chili pepper warmth to the finish. As the beer warms, the cocoa expresses itself as baker’s chocolate. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and a clean sweet spice pepper finish. Nicely executed.

Bottle from RobertDale, thanks for the opportunity! slightly hazy dark brown with reddish highlights at the edges and a frothy tan head that persists. Brown sugary caramel maltiness with hints of chocolate and a touch of ethanol as well as a slight ashy chalky mouthfeel. Decent strong ale.

12oz bottle, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a deep amber colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up a bit of nuttiness and then a mineral sensation heading quickly into sweet malts and a dash of chocolate malts. The taste quickly attains a pleasing roastiness with dark roasted malts, roasty earthy tobacco like malts and then a thin burnt malt note. To midway the sweeter malts and chocolate make a move forward adding a nice counter to the roastiness. This comes together nicely. Fun brown.

Pour is a clear brown witha large tan head. Aroma is a nice but faint cocoa but there is also a big alcohol presence. Flavor is a chewy chocolate malt similar to other brown ales but again there is a noticable alcohol. Finish has a bit of sweet malt but again you can’t escape the alcohol. I don’t know what they were going for here. It’s like an average brown ale with a lot of alcohol.

Pour is a murky muddy river water brown with a small white head. Aroma Is a pretty solid mix of cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor is again a nice pumpkin pie spice mix with some bready malt acting as the pie crust. Pretty straight forward spice/pumpkin beer. Probably more spice notes than the average pumpkin beer I just wish this di not look like river water

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a wonderful roasted coffee. This is almost more of a espresso roast. Flavor is a great bitter roasted coffee with a prefect roasted mouth feel. The aftertaste is full of nutty goodness. Not only is this a great coffee stout with a rich coffee flavor the roasted nut aftertaste is equally stellar. Plenty flavorful and full of coffe and roasted malt.

Received in trade from gregwilsonstl, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a dark copper almost brown color with a huge frothy beige head that persists forever. Big caramel and toasted malt with a hint of chocolate and a touch of earthy hop to counter. The flavor adds some dark dried fruits as well. Pretty good brown ale.

Bottle shared by Countbeer, split with Thompson @ weekly tasting. Opaque pitch black color, average to medium sized dark brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, strongly bourbon, rhum and brandy come through as well, a hint of coconut, quite some vanilla but in a good way (since I normally don’t like it when a beer has too much vanilla). Taste is pretty much the same: bourbon, rhum, brandy slightly, vanilla in a good way, dark malts, raisins and a suitable bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Pretty damn good!
