Taster pour on tap at Tapped, Maplewood. Appearance is hazy, dark yellow--kind of like a Witbier--with no discernible sparkle, finger-width white foamy head, light leggy lacing. Aroma is not much aroma, may be a little bit citrusy. Taste is a weak lemonade-orange-juice thing going on. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, really fairly weak and definitely weak for a NEIPA. 3.4-3.6

Bottle pour into goblet from Total Wine & More, Brentwood. Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, thin ring of light brown head and trace lacing. Aroma is nice, rich sweet roasted malt and bitter coffee, with a nod to the bitter, coffee side (like coffee grounds). Taste is strong coffee with chocolate notes, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation, hint of pleasant late alcohol warmth, and finish as taste, slightly more bitter than sweet but pleasantly so. Overall, pretty straightforward coffee stout.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Looks more like a wit beer. Aroma is a generic orange citrus. Flavor is some minor orange with a ever so slight tartness. Did not get anything screaming saison here. This is more a fruited wheat beer. Alright for a single.

Chalumeaux with the bottle share. Slow gusher as the bottle was popped. Thankful it wasn’t totally infected but it is mostly all rum. And there is an off flavor here. A slight note of chocolate with the rum. Maybe not totally what the brewer intended here.

Pour is a motor oil thick black with a medium tan head. Aroma is all oak barrel. Lots of vanilla and whisky and charred wood. Flavor is again all things barrel. Lots of burnt caramel with vanilla, roasted malt and plenty of oak woody goodness left on the tongue. Not as thick of mouthfeel as GI bourbon county stout but this has almost more barrel flavor and is half the price. Real good stuff here, it would behoove you to get a few bottles of this if you can't get it in your area.

Pour is a motor oil thick black with no head at all. Aroma is a real nice bourbon barrel with some cinnamon and black licorice. Flavor is a real nice bourbon with some vanilla and cocoa. I don't get much sherry, maybe a dark cherry, but I do get a huge sweet molasses from the rum. This is almost the perfect barrel aged beer. No alcohol is felt and you get a little from each barrel. Super flavorful and outstanding!
