Keg at The Globe, Aberdeen. It pours clear golden with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, floral, soapy, waxy cities peel and quite clean actually. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, clean, snappy, grassy, floral, peppery spice, waxy peel, lemon & grapefruit and airy malt with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy, carbonation. Simple, easy going action.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2022. Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Lighter clear golden with a small head. It’s a hopped ale, but is fairly malty too with hints of citric influence. Its fruitiness is understated.

Can from Beer52. Black with a very light fizz and a decent beige-to-tan head. Cocoa and milk chocolate up front with a moderate roastiness to follow. Quite smooth but maybe a tad thin. Good balance between bitter and sweet. There's just a vague hint of sourness and a waft of raspberries in the finish. Would have liked the raspberries to come through a bit more; as it is it's just an average stout and the raspberries are lost in it.

Vintage Feb. '21. 12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out an earthy, slightly roasted malt character, with a touch of molasses, and some charcoal. Flavour reveals some gentle whiskey notes upfront, backed by earthy malt, some light oxidation, and a hint of dried fruit. Smooth, subtle, with a nice gentle whiskey presence that punctuates this one. Very good.
