Formerly know as Brasserie de Saint-Sylvestre, the brewery now uses the 3 Monts brand as their name.
Located in French Flanders, in Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel, 3 MONTS Brewery is a family independent brewery since 1920. The name 3 MONTS comes from the Cassel, Cats, and Récollets hills, an outstanding feature of the local landscape. Passed from father to son since 1920, the brewery today produces beers that evoke the richness of the land and the legendary flemish conviviality. Proud of its origins and heritage, the brewery strives to promote Flemish culture beyond its borders, transmitting values of: • Strength of character • Conviviality • Generosity.

Bière dégustée en terrasse un jour de grand soleil à la guinguette de Lambersart. Robe blonde, mousse fine et éphémère. Nez discret, avec quelques notes d'agrumes et de fleurs blanches. En bouche, c’est léger, facile, avec une pointe houblonnée qui réveille l’ensemble sans dominer. Amertume douce, finale courte mais rafraîchissante. Rien de complexe, mais elle remplit bien son rôle : désaltérante et parfaite pour l’été.

Old rating from 15-01-16 - A 750ml bottle picked up in Northern France on a recent trip to Belgium. 9.5% alc. vol. Pours a clear golden copper colour with a foamy head. Aromas of fruit, yeast & alcohol. Taste is sweet, fruity, hoppy, yeasty with sighs of the alcohol content & mild bitterness in the aftertaste.

Old rating from 27-08-15 - 330ml bottle, brought from 'T Kasteel Hof bar & restaurant in Cassel. Pours a orange colour with a large white head. Aromas of caramel & summer fruits. Tastes of caramel, sweet malt, orange & peach. Feel is of a medium carbonation with a sweet aftertaste. Overall one I was surprised with, and would have again.

Old rating from 2013 - 750ml bottle, pours golden with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of black pepper, flora, grass, white grape, pear, bread, crackers, earth & malt. Medium body. Sweet slightly bitter finish with hints of alcohol.

Can. Pours a dark gold colour with a tight white head, plenty of hops and fruit in the aroma, the taste is very bitter with a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a dense and lacing off-white head. Sweet, spicy, yeasty nose, some overripe fruit. Rich, sweet body, almost syrupy sweet with yeast and friendly phenols. Warming finish. For those that have a sweet tooth. 250325
