Keg. Hazy pale amber with a small off-white head.Gentle fruity and floral aroma with bubblegum, gooseberry, nectarine and a little pine. Taste has that NZ gooseberry bite with some stone fruit and a little pine. Subtle, balanced hybrid IPA. It’s pretty good but it didn’t quite work for me: it’s a bit insubstantial and is neither very bitter nor brashly aromatic where it needed to be at least one of the three.

Dirty orange/ brown with a small white head. Very high bead. Modest passionfruit and kumquat aroma with some pears and bread. Thin mouthfeel borders on watery. Taste of light bread, pears with bright lemon sourness and a little bitterness. Nice floral note floats around the finish. Better - fruitier - as it warmed to about 10C rather than the recommended 6-8, but nothing special.

Clear amber with a tiny beige head. Hoppy aroma with pine, grapefruits, lemons and caramel. Flavor was sweet and hoppy with plenty of grapefruit, pine and bitternes from the hops.

Bottle. Amber with a light beige head. Hoppy aroma is not huge and has tropical fruits, grilled peaches and resin. Slightly sickly caramel underneath. Taste has lots of caramel and stone fruit sweetness with fruity bitterness. Some alcohol vapours. Smooth malty mouthfeel. Fruity bitter finish. Good bitterness with interesting flavours, but the malt was a bit oversweet for me.

Bottle. Dark brown with a lacy beige head. Big complex malt and vanilla aroma is quite Speyside whisky-like with pears and alcohol quite prominent. A hint of peat. Rich, smooth mouthfeel with boozy hotness. Taste has dark toffee, raisins, vanilla essence. Spicy bitter finish is warming and the finish seems drier as you drink. Don’t agree at all that the alcohol is well-hidden.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as subdued notes of hops lending it notes of citrus and elderflowers, leading to a bitter finish.
