(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with notes of caramel, treacle-toffee, oak wood, bourbon, vanilla, sultana raisins and dried figs. Malty, vinous taste with toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak wood, caramel, raisins, prunes and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, sweet. Strong and sweet, but really tasty and harmonious, with a good bourbon touch. Very nice.

Murky red brown with a small foamy head that left no lacing. Boozy, woody and malty with caramel and faint fruit. Very long finish. Full bodied.

12oz bottle from Boise Co-op. Mahogany pour, fizzy head, then still. Aroma from snifter starts with a big boozy blast, notes from the barrel, chocolate, brandy. Taste, after the booze clears, is sweet and malty, leather, tobacco, toffee. Sweet, sticky finish. Very enjoyable.

Draft pour pint at BaseLine Taphouse, Hollywood Studios Florida. It's official. There is a place at Disney that serves beer flights. Also official. I still ordered a pint. Bright amber orange pour, patchy head. A little surprised I never rated this before, and also surprised I eventually rated it in Florida. Solid pale, balanced aroma of bready malts and grassy hops. Smooth flavor of cracker and bready grains. Lingering mellow grassy hop bitterness. Resinous linger. Very tasty.

Creamy tan head on a murky brown body. Fruity, hoppy & malt aroma. Full bodied, light over the tongue with a sticky end. Malt, sweet, caramel, berry, syrup & jam tastes with a big boozy pine & resinous finish. Tastes like a Lees Harvest Ale or Fullers Vintage - same style I presume. That's a great complex beer - not for the faint hearted.

No clue about the vintage, but knowing I got it older years ago, it might even be B1 ? Pours a clear, visibly thick darker blonde/amber. No real head. Scent is oxidized, honey. Funky side to it, reminding of acetic aspects even. Taste is sharp, honey, oxidized, fairly sweet, bit oaky. The agave nectar still shows - or to be more exact, I have a florality I believe is the agave nectar. Bit to old, sure, but still enjoyable .
